What is Hybrid Cloud ?

Image
Hybrid Cloud Hybrid cloud  combines public and private clouds. It allows companies to mix and match the facets of all the types of cloud to best suit their requirements. For example, a company can balance its workloads by locating mission-critical workloads on a secure private cloud and deploying less sensitive data on public one. It not only safeguards and controls strategically important assets but does so in the most cost- and resource effective way. The major benefits are: Improved  security and privacy Enhanced scalability Reasonable price The Major concerns are: Makes sense only if companies can segregate their data into mission-critical and non-sensitive

What is Private Cloud ?

Private Cloud: Here, cloud computing resources used exclusively by a single business or organization. The private cloud can be physically located on a company’s on-site  data center . They can be off-site as well. However, the entire data is within the organization’s firewalls. Only clearly defined user –roles have access to this data. With a private cloud, the same organization is both- the cloud consumer and the cloud provider. Thus, there exists a high level of cybersecurity  for private cloud data. Multiple service providers- like Amazon,  Cisco ,  IBM ,  Dell , and  Red Hat  build  private cloud olutions. Major benefits are: High security, privacy, and reliability for private cloud High control over corporate information for private cloud data Storage  and  networking  components are customizable for private cloud data The Major concerns are: High costs to deploy and maintain the  private cloud i...

What is Public Cloud?

Public Cloud By General Technologies Public clouds are owned and operated by third party providers.  Amazon Web Services  or  Microsoft Azure  can be an example of public cloud. With a public cloud in place, all hardware, software and supporting services are owned and managed as  managed services  by the cloud provider. You can access these services and manage your account using a web- browser. The major benefits of public cloud are: Easy setup and usage of  public cloud Easy access to data on the public cloud Highly flexible in terms of addition or reduction of usage capacity 24/7 Uptimes of the  public cloud Highly cost effective Highly scalable The major concerns are: Low privacy for public cloud data as it is...

What are Cloud Infrastructure Models?

Image
Not all clouds are the same and nor are the requirements of the end-user. Several different models have evolved so that you leverage the right solution for your needs. There are 3 types of  cloud deployment models:  Public ,  Private  and  Hybrid The initial step in any deployment of  cloud infrastructure  is to evaluate which deployment model will be used at the user end.
